I am not really sure exactly how many people who participate in SEO's would disagree that title tags are important. However, we are all familiar that it is various factors, both external and internal, that help to produces those top rankings within different search engines such as Google.

For an example to show you how important the title tags are:
I currently have a new website that has NO content nor any back links. However, the website is ranking #1 on Google, because of one keyword! Now you are probably puzzled and wonder how that is happening. Answer: The keyword is a rich, target title tag!
