Waiting Periods

There are numerous waiting periods that must be meet with various search engines before your website could even begin to start being listed.  If you know and understanding all these waiting periods that you have to consider then it will help to eliminate some of the confusions and frustrations that you might have.   General waiting periods for some of the popular search engines is approximately five months on Yahoo; at least 4 weeks on Excite; and 1-2 months with Lycos.  These are just estimates and you might see something happen a lot sooner so make sure that you stay calm and let it run its course.

  1. In Google, it took my website to be updated in less than 2 months compare to Yahoo's 5 months and I'm not sure yet with Bing as of this moment. I am just relying on Google because this is the perfect place to index my site and there are thousands of visitors online everyday. I don't use Lycos and Excite, because I'm not really familiar to them, eventually I am more focused on Google, cause it's quicker to index and it's reliable.

  2. This is true especially if you submitted your site late or didn't even submit at all. I feel google lists your site quicker than any other search engine would
